Oh Hey, D.J.!
I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, went to college in Savannah, GA and I now reside in San Francisco, CA! I have always been a lover of all forms of visual entertainment. Mainly comic books, cartoons, anime and most of all, video games. A Nintendo Entertainment System was placed in front of me at the age of 5 and I haven't been the same since!
I'm currently the artist on a new monthly mini-series titled 'BLACK MAGE' written by Daniel Barnes and published by Oni Press. The comic is set to debut in 2017!
My style has been best described as a hybrid between Anime and American Saturday Morning Cartoons from the 90's. They're certainly not wrong. I grew up loving all of those things and I still do today. I'm not shy about using color in my work as well. Neon Pink and Neon Blue are definitely my immediate go to color choices.
My goal as an artist is to create content inspired by the things that inspired me to become an artist but with my own personal twist on it! I want to inspire creators of color to share their vision with the world!
